The 5th Street underpass was the first to undergo a makeover as part of Calgary’s Underpass Enhancement Program, designed to make the passages more welcoming to pedestrians. This week, the walkway was adorned with panels depicting works by important local artists, including Illingworth Kerr, Janet Mitchell, O.N. Grandmaison, John Snow, Roland Gissing, Dulcie Foo Fat, and W.J. Phillips. For more on the new public gallery, visit The Calgary Herald or Global News.
