The Demise of Seventeenth Avenue

February 26, 2016

R.McInnis-12

On March 5, the Glenbow will open its Recent Acquisitions Exhibition, which will prominently feature a massive, multi-panel painting by Masters Gallery artist, RFM McInnis, titled The Demise of Seventeenth Avenue. The emblematic work illustrates the cast of characters that made up Calgary’s art scene in the 70’s and has had an exciting journey that eventually led it to its new permanent home at the Glenbow.

In conjunction with this major acquisition for the Glenbow, Masters Gallery will be hosting an exhibition and sale of a handful of paintings by RFM McInnis spanning the last three decades. Visit our website for more information and to view the works online.
